Improve community understanding of issues relating to waste

 

Lead: GM Customer & Sustainability

Increase tours at our landfills to help the community understand where their waste goes

To achieve this we will:
a) At least one community tour runs at each landfill during 2020 (Redvale, Whitford and Kate Valley) (by end of 2020)
b) Four community tours run at Redvale, Whitford, Tirohia and Kate Valley during 2025 (by end of 2025)

 

Lead: GM Customer & Sustainability

Support education programmes around waste minimisation with New Zealand kids

To achieve this we will:
a) In partnership with Keep New Zealand Beautiful, provide a copy of the Kiki Kiwi children's book to all NZ primary schools (by end of 2020)
b) Reach more than 200,000 New Zealand children by supporting targeted waste education programmes (by end of 2025)

Use social media to engage with wider New Zealand community beyond our customers

To achieve this we will:
a) 15,000 followers across our social media channels (by end of 2020)
b) 50,000 followers across our social media channels (by end of 2025)
